Malakwa Learning Academy (MLA) works in partnership with Self Design Learning Community, a class 1 Independent Distributed Learning School, to provide SelfDesign's K-9 educational program. Children are enrolled with Self Design as distributed learning students, and programs and activities provided by MLA on a daily schedule help meet their Learning Plan goals. A British Columbia certified teacher and Self Design Learning Consultant, and CEA's (Certified Educational Assistants) will over see the program based on the individual learning plan of each child.
All MLA learners work under the guidance of our on-site Self Design Learning and Special Education Consultant Jodie Osmundson. The Learning Consultant is a BC certified teacher that, together with the family and child, will develop a meaningful and personalized education program for your child.
